Young justice bart gay

Young Justice, but I'm making them all gay and neurodivergent
Like I'm rewriting the entire show (very very very slowly).

Warning for sometimes very long author's notes and inconsistent posting schedule.

The first chapter will be from the "viewer's" perspective, as though you're watching the reveal, but the repose will be from different characters perspectives. I'm using the first chapter as kind of a tester to obtain used to writing with a script/set storyline.

This is loosely based off of the concept from the fic I read by daisies02: codename: nightingale in Young Justice.

LAST UPDATED 4/2/25 - now with author commentary!! *does a jig* (My notes will be in parentheses) Lmk if y’all want me to keep them for later chapter or not. I’m writing this under the assumption that everyone reading it has seen young justice, so SPOILERS.

TEMPORARY HIATUS. I switch around in which fandom I'm hyperfixating on, and it is not DC at the moment. I will come endorse to this, and it will be sometime this year, but temp hiatus for now.

mode crasher — when carry out you think Bart and Ed got together in...

Hi! I heard you were looking for songs that reminded people of Bart! I made a list, organized in rough chronological order (for the most part)

Promises - Hadestown (0:50-) - I like to imagine his parents sung some variation of this to each other

Any Way the Wind Blows - Hadestown - apocalypse worldbuilding

Body - Mother Mother - seems like a children’s song that might spring up

The Crime Scene - Kevin and Abi and the Secret of the Stolen Sun -(0:00-1:52)

The Demonstrate No One Saw - The New Albion Mentor to Analogue Conciousness - growing up after the story of human civilization’s come to a shut vibes

The Hadjuk - Janissary - the last gasps of the resistance

The Abbey 2 - A Slenderman Musical

The Black Beyond - The Puppetshade Chronicles 1: The Black Beyond

When the Chips Are Down - Hadestown - If you’re not a survivor you don’t survive

Entropy - A Slenderman Musical - more apocalypse worldbuilding

Postcards from Perdition Trail - Reach attacks/raids

Lee - Guide to Analogue Consciousness (mostly the last part)

——

The Battle - Janissary

Narrator 1 - The Puppetshade Chronic

Bart Allen is gay...

... and Jaime Reyes isn’t. BluePulse ain’t gonna happen, sorry.

Now hold your horses, this is by no means ship hate. You enjoy BluePulse? Go for it! I love Bart Allen, I like Jaime Reyes, so this isn’t character bashing either. season 3 episode 16 just aired, so be conscious of said spoilers!

So, why do I say this? Adequately because of the not-so-subtle hints that we’ve been given.

1) Bart doesn’t possess a love intrest, and we realize that YJ likes them love interests. He’s not even a minor personality, still, no girl? Jaime doesn’t contain a love interest in Invasion (though he is hinted to be attracted to Cassie in a tie in comic) and then is obviously virtual dating Traci now.

2) A very common incident brought up: Bart was at the Bialya all female mission that was said “men, if you straight, do not come”. Yeah, thanks Batman.

3) His sexuality was also considered a spoiler petition at AskGreg, this is the equal guy who described in detail that Aremis found out Dick was Robin bc she saw him naked twice in one day.

4) Arrowette joins the team in the beginning of Outsiders. She is arguably the closest Bart had to a love interest in the comics, and they did not se

Young Justice Characters Who Are Members Of The Queer Community

Young Justice is an animated series that follows the many sidekicks of the DC Universe as they work to show themselves as full-fledged heroes in their own right and balance the struggles of teenage life. Unlike similar shows DC Super Hero Girls and Teen Titans Go!, Young Justice takes a more solemn approach and tackles mature themes of grief, PTSD, performance-enhancing drugs, and more.

During the first 2 seasons on Cartoon Network, the series needed to convene the standards of the kids' network, only allowing the series to handle on the more mature themes it wanted to. After being canceled in 2013, the show was brought back as a DC Universe Original and HBO Max Original for its fourth season. The move from a cable channel to a more mature streaming service allowed the creators free-range to explore the characters in ways they couldn’t before. Something Season 3 highlighted was the immense diversity within the larger DC Universe, not only across characters of different races and species, but also in gender and sexual orientation. In addition to the many heterosexual couples on the show, it was rev

One of the things that I think killed the second season of Fresh Justice was its irregular release schedule. When it moved to DC's hold digital platform, I had hoped the show would enjoy something more practical and predictable — you know, one episode a week, always on the same day and period. Sadly, DC chose not to do this, opting instead to cluster episodes together, sometimes releasing three or four a week. And then they took a massive hiatus from the end of January to the beginning of July. So it's been a while since we've seen this version of Bart Allen.

In the show's time, it's been about two months since we last saw Bart baby-sitting his toddler father and aunt. Apparently Bart has since befriended Eduardo Dorado Jr. — one of the teens the Arrive kidnapped in season two and gained the authority of teleportation as a result of their experiments. Eduardo is currently operational at a Meta-Human Youth Center in Taos, Novel Mexico, with his dad, and Bart (and most of the Team) has decided to lend a hand to this facility, especially as the teen abductions has not slowed down, despite the departure of the Reach.
