(Closed) Queer and engaged, but what to tell religious/ non-accepting parents?
I’m new here, but I’ve browse through some of the other posts and it really seems like there’s a nice collective here. I dream someone might possess advice about my situation. I wasn’t really sure which board to post on, since it’s relevant to so many, but here goes…
So my significant other and I got engaged at the end of August 2013. We are both in our mid-20s, queer, and don’t have a lot of money/resources. We live together already, but neither of our families knows that. She’s estranged from her family for the most part, and I’m not super close with mine, but trying to build a bond with them.

I loved it! One, because it opened up a delightful discussion about the infinite possibilities of two hands and up to 6 rings. And two, because I've also wanted to be an advice columnist and I'm pretty sure this is as seal I'll ever get.
Turns out, I know a thing or two about jewelry, but I'm not a gay man, so I had some reckons but thought it was probably best to do some crowd-sourcing for information and ideas. Which, holy-kajole, I got such amazing, charming, kind and inspiring stories from our community.
I wanted to use every, solo photo from Ant and Matt's wedding. I also want to go advocate to school, become a Dr. and re-do mine and Ash's wedding. Photo courtesy ofPhotos by Zoe
First up, my reckons. When it comes to anything and everything wedding-related, I'm a firm believer that there's no reason to be bound by any sort of rule or tradition, espec
