Ty Dolla $ign Declares He’s ‘Blessed and Thankful’ to Have Lauren Jauregui
Though neither has confirmed a romantic affair , Ty Dolla $ign, 32, and Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui, 21, have been attending events together and posting subtle social media photos with flirty heart-eye and kissy-face emoji captions for months now.
Jauregui confirmed her sexuality in a Nov. 2016 open letter to Donald Trump’s supporters: “I am a bisexual Cuban-American woman and I am so proud of it,” she wrote. “I am proud to be part of a community that only projects love and education and the sustain of one another.”
On Friday (Oct. 20), the “Paranoid” singer posted a cozy black and white photo of the two on his Instagram story with the caption “blessed and thankful to have you in my life my love.” This comes after the Fifth Harmony member posted an Instagram gallery of various photos of her with Ty Dolla $ign, and a “miss you” post on Oct. 3. Could the duo be ready to hold it to the next level?

This is the second part to a two-part series called Homosexuality in Hip-Hop. If you haven’t already, please read part one here.
In the first part of this series, we took a step advocate to look at how homosexuality was viewed in hip-hop for years, and how it’s slowly but surely progressed. While a lot of it was due to progressing views overall as a nation, some of those conservative ideas have still held a lot of people back. The big difference now, however, is that artists are using their voices to advocate for this cause, no matter what sort of response they might receive.
Similarly enough, I might receive a bit of backlash for mentioning this name in a hip-hop blog, but I couldn’t give a flying fuck. This anthem was so important and influential, especially considering the time and context, that it must be mentioned. One of the most eye-opening songs that talked about homosexuality was Macklemore’s “Same Love”. Say whatever you may about him (personally I found his music catchy but never gave it much more attention than what was on the radio), but you cannot deny the effect that that ballad had, whether positively or negatively. Kid Cudi and Ty Dolla $ign Want To Adjust Hip-Hop’s Attitude To Same-sex attracted Rights
The pair associated on Twitter following the Orlando nightclub massacre.
Kid Cudi has joined the many musicians who have paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting and used the moment to analyze the hip-hop community's attitude towards LGBT people. "The Hip Hop community is the least outspoken about gay rights and Ima go out my way to alter that," Cudi tweeted in a statement that was later co-signed by Ty Dolla $ign.
Cudi suggested that he wants to do more than pay lip service to the victims of Pulse nightclub shooting and tweeted, "I wish there was more I could undertake than tweet, build education and donate money. That's not enough." He also instructed any homophobic followers to unfollow him immediately. See his tweets below.
